Two layers of coverage on every qualifying roof: the manufacturer's warranty on materials, and Hardesty's own 5-year warranty on the workmanship.
Two layers
Materials and labor are different promises.
A shingle warranty from the factory doesn't cover the crew that installed it, and installation is where most roofs actually fail. So we split the promise honestly:
- 5 yrs
Hardesty's workmanship warranty on labor. If our installation fails, we fix it; that's the whole clause.
- Varies
Material coverage is set by the manufacturer and differs by product, from asphalt shingle systems to metal and commercial membranes. We tell you the term for the material you choose before you sign.
- Closeout
We register your GAF warranty when the job closes out and hand you the paperwork; it's not real until it's registered.
The honest part
A warranty is a bet on the company.
Every roofing warranty is only as good as the odds the company still answers its phone in year five. Ours has been answered under the same name since 1990, through every storm season Central Virginia could throw at it. That's the actual warranty.
